Ariel , I guess you hope to bug me and disrupt yet another thread so have fun, post away. All it will do is take away from the subject of this thread and ruin the flow. But you know that already, that's why you are doing it.
JJ , LadyPorthos , Joey Just for you guys!.. perhaps the best Kirk face yet..
I'm not trying to fool anyone. You are going to chase everyone away and end up posting with yourself.
Lol.. not quite. You disrupting thread after thread will just mean more will be moved to a group where the people that want to talk about the actual SUBJECT of the thread can chat and not worry about someone just boosting their post count and attempting to ruin threads. Let's see.. this will be what? Thread number 6?
Ariel, I don't have a bone to pick with you... yet, but this thread is about Star Trek, not Lost in Space. And I WAS having fun till I saw that link to a video you posted, and I wondered, "Whoa, wait? Did we change subjects?" Perhaps you could started your own thread with a discussion of other campy sci fi series and then it can be a mix of all sorts of funny Sci Fi things over the last fifty years.
Mixed threads don't bother me, Ariel, it isn't uncommon for people to go off on a tangent and what started out as a thread about weedkiller can turn into one sharing recipes for macaroni and cheese. But this thread was so very obviously specific about one subject, videos and such and everyone was in tune with it. So your post wasn't at all a smooth transition, it was a major jump to a different topic. Sure, similar subject matter, but not on point.
As I said, start your own thread if you want to introduce a new sci fi series, but sometimes it can be fun to stay on one subject too, and not drift off into other things. Goodness, the science fiction genre is so huge we could wind up talking about The Time Machine and it's campy acting, or 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, both good movies, and some parts are a hoot, but really, they are fact specific.
See, in my mind it's the same topic; the point being that these old shows are a little "low-tech" and better (in my opinion) when they don't take themselves so seriously.
The two shows are a lot alike and from the same era.
Guests and members welcome! See fast updates in here, too!
Talira Greycrest: I can see why some people put off going to the dentist, it's very expensive. I had to go today, and it cost me over $300 just for a checkup, a clean and some x-rays.

Talira Greycrest: Went swimming this afternoon. The pool was closed for half the day thanks to a possum causing a power cut.
