I don't know about the rest of you but I am so sick of reading Political threads, doom and gloom threads and angry threads. So how about some good news and fun news? Join me and post your own.  The Outtakes From A Conservation Officer's Portrait Attemps With His K-9 Will Make Your Day February 11, 2017 Indiana Conservation Officer Levi Knach and his K-9 partner Kenobi showed some puppy love in their portrait "attempt." The outtakes from Knach's photo shoot are going viral thanks to Kenobi's wonderful attempts to steal the show.  "Kenobi is cute, but make no mistake - he is a trained, working officer and can track people and locate a variety of objects ranging from venison to ginseng," Indiana State Parks wrote on Facebook.   After all the adorable outtakes, the photographer was finally able to snap a perfect photo of the dynamic duo side by side.  |

Kenobi is just beautiful, I had to giggle at the pictures because every time I want to take Archie's picture it takes about 3 or 4 to get him still. LOL

After Girl Scout Stand Is Robbed, Police Buy All Remaining Cookies And Donate Over $1,000February 10, 2017 A girl scout stand outside of a Union City, CA, supermarket was robbed by a gunman on Wednesday. Neither the 12-year-old girl nor her mother were hurt, but they were understandably upset. And so were police, who have so far donated more than $1,000 to the mother and girl — and also bought all the cookies they could.  Sgt. Stan Rodrigues and Sgt. Paul Kanazeh Many of the officers involved in the investigation have children actively involved in scouting, and donated their own money to cover the loss from the robbery, officials said. The Union City Police Officers Association purchased all of the girl’s remaining boxes of cookies. Sgt. Steve Mendez said Thursday that officers, after hearing of the robbery Wednesday, said "Oh my God and started busting out their wallets and handing money over." The girl's mother delivered dozens of boxes of cookies to police Thursday. That's when Sgt. Bob Kensic gave her the cash donation collected from the department officers. "We're just glad no one was hurt and we were able to change a negative thing into something positive for the mom and her daughter," Mendez added. Dying Veteran Puts Ad In Local Paper Asking Only For Letters To ReadFebruary 8, 2017 A cancer patient at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota took out a newspaper ad asking people to send him letters during his last days.  dying veteran wants to read letters from people James' great-niece, Brenna Glodowski, found the posting and shared it on Facebook, asking if anyone has a few minutes to send a card. "My great uncle put this in the newspaper, unbeknownst to us," she wrote. Well I don't have news that exciting but one of my friends is TX is having a baby this summer and I'm the appointed distant Uncle. Haven't found out if I have another Niece or Nephew yet. But I'm excited.

Awwww...that was so sweet, loved that Dad's reaction. We found out a couple of weeks ago that my niece is expecting her first child, so I know about the excitement of babies...so congrats, Joey! |
