We can try that if you like, just remember to enter the water calmly and not to feed or touch the animals. If they want physical contact, they'll initiate it. Good advice.

*Indicates a small Ichthyosaur approaching the group* Looks like we've got a curious juvenile Ophthalmosaurus. They're named after their extremely large eyes and are capable of diving to depths of around 600 metres, though they seem to prefer living in relatively shallow waters.

Another dolphin-like individual that might be our swim buddy.

I don't see teeth so I agree.

Ichthyosaurs do have teeth, which come in varying shapes depending on their choice of food.

OK, feed them first then, before we start playing with them.

First have to find out what it likes. But it looks friendly.

Ophthalmosaurus feeds mostly on fish and squid, so, if anyone wants to have a go at trying to catch some squid, I'm sure this youngster would appreciate a bit of free food.

*points up* Looks like the Pteranodons are hungry, too. That one's got a big fish in its beak. Considering Pteranodons are toothless, it's amazing they're able to keep hold of a wet, wriggling fish.

Did you read that, Joey12 ? Seems as if we're safe as long as we stay dry and don't wriggle!

Just wanted to let you know we've got more company and this one may not be so friendly. If you look over to the left, roughly 50m away, we've got a mother Basilosaurus and her calf. Despite the dino-like name, these animals are actually primitive whales, feeding on large fish and other marine mammals.
