Could it be Nessie?

Loch Ness is only 10,000 years old. If creatures similar to Plesiosaurs lived in Loch Ness, they'd be seen frequently, due to their need to come to the surface several times a day to breathe. DNA extracted from water samples suggests that, if Nessie exists, she's most likely a giant eel.

My guess is a total hoax that helps their economy with vacationers and souvenirs so they keep it going.

I have watched many shows about Nessie. Beside obvious hoaxes like manipulated images of toys, we are probably dealing with mistaken identities of logs drifting with the current and delayed wakes fro passing boats. We have something similar in Norway, where a monster called Selma is said to inhabit Lake Seljord. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selma_(lake_monster)

One thing you can always be sure of is if it's a picture or video of Nessie or Big Fook it'd going to either blurry or out of focus.
Cameras are so much better than that. I can be driving down the road going 60 or 70 mph and still get good pictures of anything 20 ft to 1/2 mile away.

Yes, nowadays, people snap videos of everything instantly, so if these 'monsters' were real, one should think that they would show up more frequently and in a better quality than before.

We've got another Plesiosaur, looks like a....Thalassiodracon, the "Sea dragon". It's known from several almost-complete skeletons discovered in southwest England and lived between 201.6 and 196.5 million years ago from the Rhaetian stage of the Late Triassic through to the Sinemurian stage of the Early Jurassic.

Any estimated size?

Measures between one and two metres long. It was originally thought that Plesiosaurs swam by moving their flippers in a in a simultaneous rowing motion. However, we now know they swam by using an up-and-down flapping motion.

Maybe it will swim along with us and we can watch.

Some dolphins like to swim with humans, so why not try if this one is in a playful mood?

We can try that if you like, just remember to enter the water calmly and not to feed or touch the animals. If they want physical contact, they'll initiate it.
