From user Indestructavincible on www.clipd.com/stories/I was working Technical Support for a large company and had two email windows open, encompassing two threads. One was a back and forth between myself and my boss talking about servers and backups. The other was me and the company training rep having a laugh about a pictorial on how to make an airplane out of matchsticks using flies as engines. The training rep asked me: "Where can I get some flies?" At the same time, my boss asks me where I have been storing the backup tapes. Getting my wires crossed I wrote to my boss: "Open your pants, some might fly out." It didn't go over well but when I explained what happened, he had a good laugh.

So, my best bud has a funny habit of texting me "aaaaah" whenever he decides to take a bathroom break at work. Every once in awhile I respond in kind.
Well, I decided this morning would be a good time to email him "just had an amazing poo. thought you should know". However, I accidentally send this to a different contact with the same first name who happens to be the lead game designer at a local company where I interviewed a couple of years ago.

When Katie Kirby was working on a project for Jim Beam, she was responsible for contracting mixologists all over the country to develop recipes for a tequila brand. Though she was based in New York, she was sending quite a few professional emails to a well-known bartender in Los Angeles. “One morning he sent me an email that was clearly intended for a woman with whom he had spent the previous evening. It’s too graphic to share, but let’s just say it included the word ‘thirsty’ and conjured up a very clear visual,” she explains. “I contemplated ignoring it but just couldn’t resist — so I replied and said ‘I’m pretty sure this wasn’t intended for me; but whoever she is, she sounds like a very lucky girl.’” His response? An appropriate, “Oh. My. God.”
