Most threads on most forums stop having responses after a month or two, so the threads disapper from the "most recent" list if nobody bumps them or makes them sticky.
But I notice that on this forum, old threads sometimes reappear with new posts and that is great for the variety and topic diversity we have here.
Presumed lost, but not necessarily completely forgotten!

I try to do that, too. Like this one.

I'd honestly never thought that I would see this thread again! Cool!

As long as there is enough storage space, it shouldn't be a problem to save old threads.

The beauty of debate forums is that the things we post may stay there forever or at least until the admin removes it. Then, other people can rescue old threads from oblivion at any time and add valuable points at their own pace.

People that revive old forum threads are nicknamed "archeaologists".
You think a thread is dead when nobody cares to post on it anymore, but then, new people come along and want to add something.
