Why spend money on outer space travel before we fix our inner space problems. Well put. We know more about Space now than about our oceans and how to interact properly with them to our mutual benefit. Space has become a playground for wealthy people and countries. Another matter that has always surprised me: Why don't driving schools teach you how to use a fuel pump and change a tire?

mac, Yes driving schools are not in depth enough. The biggest and main problem drivers don't seem to comprehend is needing a two second gap minimum. The average person takes between .75 and 1.25 seconds to realise they need to use the brakes which gives little time for actual stopping. If people allowed this distancing most accidents would not occur. Secondly most people drive too fast for their actual capabilities and of course speed limits are too high. Any education system needs to be flexible to consider that they are teaching what people require for this particular day and age.

I think that one positive aspect of the pandemic is that it has forced educators to think outside the box and become more flexible. Before, some of the system was stuck in a rut.
