As my esteemed co-members have probably found out by now, I'm a creature of habits.
I normally get up around 09:30 a.m. unless I have to participate in an earlier activity. The first thing I do, is to switch on my PC. While it's warming up, I do my morning routine in the bathroom and refill water on my CPAP breathing machine if necessary.
Then, I'm ready for the day. I open the search engines for my ancestry research and in the meantime check e-mail #1. Then, I open the forum to see if anything interesting has happened while I slept. Only rarely do I log in so early, though. Instead, I push on with my ancestors at least one round before I exercise and take a shower. More research and I'm ready for breakfast/early lunch. By that time, the clock is normally ticking happily away somewhere around 01:00 pm. More ancestry before I log onto the forum. Normally, I'm a bit stressed at that time, so I just reply to a couple of messages and a few threads, then continue with other things, like reading 10 pages of my book manuscript. 3 times a week, I go to the supermarket to buy food, while the routines are interrupted for outdoors activities with my friends on Tuesdays and Sundays. By then, I return to the forum if I'm not too tired, to mainly deal with backstage issues and admin stuff, also on ProBoards Support and a handful of other sites that I halfheartedly monitor, but never participate anymore. If you don't see me, however, it's because I use the Heretix profile in stealth mode.
While eating, I normally leaf through some online newspapers, at least to see the headlines. I also check e-mail #1 a couple more times a day and sometimes during the afternoon, I also open e-mail #2, which I mainly use for job search. If I find something interesting to apply for, I usually send my applications through the Net or via e-mail, rarely in the snail mail anymore.
1-2 times a week, I also log in to my Internet bank, to pay bills and transfer money. And I sometimes send text messages from my PC instead of struggling with my cell phone's microscopic keyboard.
Before bedtime, I check e-mail #1 and the forum one last time, before I switch off the PC and hit the bed around 02:00 am.
