If a computer has a connection to the internet means no warrant is required for the US government to hack it, a Virginia court has ruled. The judge angered privacy campaigners by reasoning that since no connected computer "is immune from invasion”, no user should ever expect their their activity to remain secret. The decision was part of a case brought after an investigation into “Playpen”, a child porn website on the dark web, which the FBI hacked to find offenders. From Independent. Personally I could care less. If they want to spy on me have at it. They will die of boredom real fast. I'm old school, I operate on the theory of if you you don't have anything to hide... why care.  |

Until now, your PC would be a relatively safe place for personal stuff. If government hackers legally can extract info from it, some of them could be tempted to spread things they shouldn't. So if you have something to hide, store it on a flash drive.
