www.ksat.com/news/tuesday-marks-president-jfks-first-and-only-visit-to-san-antonioTuesday marks President JFK's first and only visit to San Antonio President was assassinated on Nov. 22, 1963, in Dallas "SAN ANTONIO - Tuesday marks the 54th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s first and only visit to San Antonio. It also marks the last full day he was alive. "It was after lunch and he just said ‘The president's been shot in Dallas,’” Pruitt recalled. “It was emotional. When he was assassinated, it was a tough moment." Pruitt said classes were canceled the next day as the country began to mourn the loss of the 35th president. Another repercussion from that day was the president not being able to dedicate the high school that bears his name. He promised to return to Edgewood ISD’s John F. Kennedy High School to celebrate, but that would never happen.". This is of course the 54th Anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

I was too young when it happened, so I don't remember that day, but something has hardly shocked the entire world as much as this brutal murder.

tango7, personally no I don't think he was. Too many things just don't add up. And there are too many unanswered questions. Jack Ruby killed Oswald, Jack Ruby was dying of cancer so he was the perfect choice to silence Oswald if someone else was behind it.

Today would have also been my great-grandmother's 111th birthday. I love you, Nana, wherever you are.

IMO the United States was changed that day.
After 11/22/1963 we raced thru the 1960s, a very turbulent decade in our history.
Our country became more and more divided.
We then headed to Watergate...a precursor to what is happening right now.
Something I believe will end up to be much worse than Watergate...collusion with a foreign country...an enemy foreign country.
And our country is as divided as it has ever been, though some people are seeing the light after one year of Trump.

And the big question is: Was Oswald really alone? Having read the entire Warren Commission Report from cover to cover (I'm something of a history buff), I have to say absolutely not. The physical evidence just doesn't bear out there only being one shooter but since so much has been covered up I don't think we'll ever know for sure.

History buff here as well and you are absolutely right.

Oswald was a nut, but not an idiot, and he was almost surely alone. People just love conspiracy theories. And Ted Cruz's father was in on it, too, right?
