Guess Hollywood didn't want to be out done by Politicians Sylvester Stallone responds to allegations he sexually assaulted and threatened a 16-year-old when he was 40Sylvester Stallone is denying a report that claimed he had inappropriate sexual contact with a woman in 1986 in a Las Vegas hotel room when she was 16. The "Rocky" actor has spoke out against the story, which was based on a decades-old police report obtained and published by The Daily Mail. “This is a ridiculous, categorically false story. No one was ever aware of this story until it was published today, including Mr. Stallone. At no time was Mr. Stallone ever contacted by authorities or anyone else regarding this matter,” a representative for Stallone told Fox News. The alleged incident occurred in Las Vegas while the action star was filming the movie "Over the Top," according to the report. The unnamed accuser said Stallone, who was 40 at the time, and his bodyguard, Mike De Luca, who was 27, had inappropriate sexual contact with a 16-year-old and threatened her safety when she was staying in the city with family friends. The Daily Mail posted a police report in which the woman detailed the alleged encounter she said occurred in a room at the Hilton hotel in Las Vegas. The woman told police she met Stallone earlier in the day and DeLuca, who died in 2013, handed her keys to the star's hotel room. She claimed that she met Stallone and DeLuca in the hallway and entered the room, the report said. She claimed that she began having sex with Stallone while DeLuca stayed in the bathroom, the report said. At one point during intercourse, she claimed to police Stallone asked her if she ever had a threesome. At that point, she stated DeLuca walked in and the two assaulted her, the report said. She later told police that sex with Stallone was consensual but she reportedly said DeLuca's presence made her feel uncomfortable. She alleges that Stallone told her to keep quiet or they would have to “beat her head in.” She said she felt humiliated and intimidated by the event and decided ultimately not to press any charges. As TMZ notes, it's not unusual for police to investigate claims of sexual assault against a minor, but Las Vegas police told the outlet they did not feel they had sufficient evidence to move forward. link

Just the next shoe to fall.
But just like Mariah Carey, this is just one allegation.
Not the same as the slew of allegations against other Hollywood people as well as some politicians such as Trump, with at least 19 women who have come forth, and Roy Moore whose own party, the GOP, has stopped anymore funding to the man they say they believe the women and that he is a serial pedophile.

The big picture is this is a conversation our whole country has long overdue having.
Now that a lot of women have been brave enough to come forward, whether their molester is in Hollywood, politics, industry, etc., we should all been talking about this, both men and women.
Men need to stop protecting other men. They also need to understand not only the trauma they cause when they commit such acts, but also they have women in their lives. If they don not stop protecting other men, if they do not make women feel it is safe to come forward it very well may hit close to home if it has not already for them.
Women need to support other women of course. They need to help them understand it is not their fault.
Not that it is becoming clear how widespread this problem is this is the time to really move the conversation and talk about possible solutions to this horrible problem.

I believe I said that both men and women have to get behind this conversation. And no, a woman who has been a victim does not need to stand alone. Quite the contrary. And it is not on the victim to take on a powerful man, or any man, all but herself or be told "it's on her".

And it is not on the victim to take on a powerful man, or any man, all but herself or be told "it's on her". Why? Because it's a man? I spent 35 years in an all male leadership at work. I was harassed, insulted, paid less and threatened with termination. I didn't run crying and I didn't ask others for help. I stuck it out and fought for what I deserved and I got it. Women aren't sheep and they do not deserve any more special treatment than a man.

Workplace Sexual Harassment
Definition: What is Workplace Sexual Harassment?
Workplace sexual harassment refers to harassment of a sexual nature, which is based on gender or physical attractiveness or un-attractiveness of a person, and consists of unwelcome sexual advances, propositions for sexual favors and any other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.
There are two types of sexual harassment recognized under Federal law in the US: quid pro quo and hostile work environment (the equivalent terms “sexual coercion” or “sexual annoyance” are also used in Canada).
Equal Pay/Compensation
The Equal Pay Act requires that males and females in the same workplace receive equal pay for equal work.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) defines sexual harassment as "unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature." No one should have to deal with adhering to a request of this nature in order to maintain their employment status.
If you are the victim of sexual harassment in the workplace, there are some steps you can follow to ensure the matter is addressed. Each of these steps is important on its own, but to get the most value out of taking these steps, make sure that you are keeping a detailed record and documenting everything that transpires. Don’t only rely on the notes that your company is taking. Your own personal records will be invaluable evidence for you.

Al Franken does not belong in the above group. A little perspective is necessary. I have a good story to tell you about Stallone, Andie. 1 - Of course he does not. You are exactly right. Perspective is needed. He is not in the same category as Roy Moore, a serial pedophile nor that of Trump, with 15 women who have accused him and he was caught on tape admitting to molesting women. 2 - Cannot wait to hear that story, Ariel!!!
