Kenneth Branagh is both the director and stars as Poirot. I have always thought he was very talented so I am not surprised.. Of course it is a great story to begin with and Branagh has apparently made an excellent movie. |

First time in a long time that I've actually been looking forward to seeing a movie in the theaters. Murder On The Orient Express sounds like it should be fabulous...an awesome cast including not only Kenneth Branagh but Sir Derek Jacobi, Dame Judi Dench and Johnny Depp! Can not wait!

Doesn't really interest me, not a big mystery fan. Looked at 3 reviews on it.. all gave it 3 to 3 1/2 stars.. Not one I'd pay money to see..

I do not know which reviews you read, but the Guardian, BBC and the Hollywood Reporter all gave this movie very good reviews.

Other than the Pirate movies which he was perfect for, I just can not stand him... As for BBC and a good review that might be but they still only gave it 3 stars. review |

Well to be honest, Johnny Depp is only a REALLY minor part of the attraction for me and with him being the murder victim he won't be in it very long. It's the others I'm more interested in, plus the mystery itself, which is one of Agatha Christie's best. That review doesn't sound promising though. And man, I really hope they aren't hinting at a sequel. It's a murder mystery, there isn't SUPPOSED to be a sequel!  |

Anyone who knows this story does know that the victim is on the screen for a very very short time.
This is an ensemble movie and the ensemble cast is terrific.

Gee thank you, I do know the story, I saw the original and I do know the victim isn't on the screen very long. I was commenting to Sue who seemed so happy Depp was in it.
