It is just I know people who do that.
You go to browse their books and find they have never been opened...ever.
Some of them decorate by the color. So many red books, so many blue, etc.
How intelligent.
...not.

My shelves are full of books but they only go on the shelf once I've read them. I don't have near enough room because we have pictures out too. So some go in a cabinet where there is a stack of read and unread. Also I have a closet with a stack of close to 20 unread books and wouldn't you know today I bought one to add to the stack...good Grief. There are several used book stores in the area and it's probably time to sell some odd. Most look like brand new...I'm careful with my books. Does it make me look smarter...I really doubt it. The books are there for me. Congrats andie, |

May not be as pretty, but they are being read...the whole point of books I thought growing up. Of course it helps the interior decorators who are paid as part of their contract to find and arrange these books. Lucky them I guess. |

Good job though, andie ...I don't think I would ever have thought of that! I have tons of books in our unfinished basement. I have such a hard time of letting go of books. I always think I will read them one more time. Given more time, you probably would have got it. Stupid stuff just sticks in my mind...though stupid is not quite the right word for this one. Like I told Joey, the fact that you have more books than you have read as of yet than a bunch of pretty books makes you 100 times smarter to me... |

I also collected a few books that are signed. Mine aren't pretty because they all have to have the dust cover they came with and the ones that are signed also have a clear plastic cover. Maybe one day I'll get an ereader and be done with books,,,but I have my doubts. I have one book my sister gave me when I was in my 20's. I still have it. The book is W.C. Fields and Me by Carlotta Monti. Great book if you are a fan of his.
