Friday night and Saturday, Aryan Nation, the KKK, and the neo-Nazis held torchlight rallies on the streets of Charlottesville. A terrorist attack was carried out, killing one person (plus two police officers who were killed trying to contain them.) Many people are in critical condition.
In the afternoon, Trump held a "press conference" (no questions, of course) where he praised the veterans and signed some side bill, while saying that the problem is "from all sides."

Heck it started with violence. When I was in Basic Training and AIT but mostly AIT in South Carolina and Georgia they were still fighting the Civil War. It was a culture shock since I spent most of my life in the north, Needless to say the guys in my unit that still thought the Cilvil War was still on weren't my friends in the unit.

Sorry but I do NOT agree Joey ,. I lived most of my life in the South and for every bigot there were just as many that could care less about the color of someone. I also lived in NY for 35 years so don't go painting the North as some kind of sainthood. There are as many racists and bigots in the North as there are in the South. Hate doesn't know borders.

There are not many Klan parades, cross-burnings, or Confederate flags in the North.

The problem is the bigots are the ones that make the most noice so they are the ones that you see. I know that all Southerners aren't like David Duke but that's who they interview on TV or at least one the interviewed.

There are not many Klan parades, cross-burnings, or Confederate flags in the North. Bigotry can take many forms, it doesn't have to hide behind white hoods and burning crosses. And despite what many think, the Confederate flag is NOT a badge of racism.

Hate to correct her but I lived there for 35 years and there were quite a few cross burning's and KKK demonstrations in NY, NJ, MA and PA.

I fly only one flag and that is the Flag of our country. I have however had several items with the Confederate flag on them and were very proud of them. The Stars and Bars are not about racism which someday the politically correct will figure out.

First the "Stars and Bars" is not this: Furthermore, that flag is a sign of racism for many people and is completely inappropriate in any context. Third, in twenty-five years of living in the Northeast, I have not witnessed a single cross-burning or Klan parade, so you must be hanging out in some very squirrely areas.

Pssst it's called the news.. you should check it out once in a while. Anyway Joey, I don't believe in flying any flag but the United States flag and I don't think any other should be flown.
