Two Presidents of the United States were bachelors when elected: James Buchanan and Grover Cleveland.
During his first term, however, Cleveland was married to Frances Folsom, daughter of his former law partner at Buffalo.
Buchanan, the only President who was never married, is known as the Bachelor President. He was the fifteenth President and was Lincoln’s predecessor in the White House.

Surprising that in all this time we've only had one bachelor President who remained a Bachelor.

I think people view a family man in a different light than a bachelor when it comes to running the country. I'm more surprised there was even one...but that's just how I feel.

I just figured with there being so many bachelors out there, what are the odds that only one would get elected to the highest office in more than 200 years?
