Years ago I got hooked on the show Dallas and later games so I try to steer clear Of some shows' I was hooked on Seinfeld but that wasn't bad. Just a 1/2 hour and it was usually on when we ate so perfect timing and no wasted time.

We're getting down to the wire now, just two more episodes to go. Can hardly believe it!
As for last night...a lot of interesting "small" moments like Jesus coming out to Maggie. And just when it looked like that might be a budding romance too! Plus Rosita finally giving us some insight into her past.
Didn't expect Sasha to go in alone and clearly Rosita wasn't happy about it. You know that's not going to end well but then we figured she wasn't going to make it past this season with her new series on the horizon. More intriguing was Eugene's response...has he really gone dark side or is he just trying to stay alive? I think it's the latter personally but I guess time will tell. And who was the figure with the crossbow watching Rosita? Was that Daryl or was it Dwight? I'm thinking probably Dwight and either things are going south for Rosita too or this might be his moment to finally break away from Negan's control. Anything's possible.
Speaking of Daryl, by far my favorite moment of the episode was the scene in the basement with Maggie. I'm so glad they let those two work through that on screen instead of just having it happen without our seeing it. And I'm so glad that it played out the way it did. Maggie was right, of course...Glen wouldn't want Daryl blaming himself.
So now Maggie's without her doctor and Gregory is scheming to keep control of Hilltop. I really wish someone would just get rid of him already...he so deserves it! I'm guessing the big confrontation isn't going to happen until next season...not enough time to do it now...but we shall see what the last two episodes bring.

One week away from the big season finale and this one brought up lots of interesting questions, like...what good is Gregory anyway? The man has never even killed a walker and yet he's head of the Hilltop? I don't get that one. And we can assume when he pulled the map out that he's making a trip to the Sanctuary...to what end? Why do I get the feeling he's going to be the fly in the ointment for this whole grand plan of Rick's?
And speaking of Rick...man, they certainly didn't go easy on the ladies at Oceanside, but by the same token they did try to give them a chance, they went out of their way not to hurt anyone and they took care of the walkers who showed up, so it could've been worse. I wonder if Cyndie and some of the others will eventually break away from grandma and join in the fight.
Then we've got Sasha's situation. Is she going to kill herself or will she go Eugene's route and then try to take down Negan from the inside? And what about Eugene...clearly he's going along to get along, which is understandable, but he doesn't know what Rick has planned. Will he finally stand up and fight once he finds out?
And we've got our answer from last week...it was Dwight who confronted Rosita and now he's become the first tenant of Morgan's cell. But can Rick and the others really trust him? I actually think they can. We know from what we've seen in recent weeks that he's got no real love for Negan, so I think he's genuine about wanting to join in the fight, but how can Tara and Daryl ever trust him given what he's done to them?
Lot's of stuff still up in the air and I wonder just how far they'll be able to get in next week's finale and how much will be left hanging for next season. I have a feeling one thing that will happen by the end of that episode is Negan ending up in the cell, but we'll see. Can't wait for next week!

Whew...wow! An epic ending to what had been a grueling season. As soon as they first showed Sasha I had a feeling she wasn't going to make it. I was sorry to see her go, but so glad that she got to go out the way she did...even though I completely forgot that she would turn after she died. But exactly the way she wanted it...making herself into a weapon. Just a shame that she couldn't take out Negan, which she obviously intended to do.
Still can't figure out what Eugene is up to. I was stunned to see him trying to talk them down and I can't figure out if he's still on their side or not. Can't figure out Dwight either...was he being on the level with Rick and co. or selling them out? Hard to tell. I was surprised to see Daryl back down from killing him, but I think he realized Dwight was right about his wife and that did the trick. But was it Dwight who left the message on the toy soldier, or was it Eugene? "Didn't know."...hmmm...
Also wasn't expecting Jaydis and the Scavengers to turn on Rick and co. Dang! And really, Rick, your reaction is to try and make a deal with her AGAIN?! Geeze! Carl was proving that he had a bigger set there by taking it to the Scavengers and the Saviors. That totally rocked!
And speaking of rocked, so did the appearance of Shiva! Awesome!! Again, it's too bad that she couldn't take down Negan but at least she got to chow down on someone. I was just hoping she wouldn't get shot in the process, thank goodness she didn't. And speaking of the folks from the Kingdom...FINALLY Morgan came around, took him long enough!
And finally, it was cool having Abraham back briefly and I absolutely loved Maggie's speech, drawing everything full circle back to that moment when Glen saved Rick in the tank. So true...it all started there, with that one gesture. I think Glen would've been glad to see where it led.
So now we're set up for next season...the revolution has begun. Can't wait to see where it leads!

Really good finale for the season, one we had all been waiting for. I was sad to see Sasha die but knew it was coming. And she picked a great way to go too! Her plan almost worked too. I'm not sure what is up with Eugene. I had been holding out hope he was just biding his time and not really joining up with Negan, now I'm not so sure. It will be interesting to see when and if the group defeats Negan and if he survives how they deal with him. I don't think he or Dwight can be trusted.
I had a feeling Jaydis was the one that turned on them, I was worried about trusting that group from the start. Best part of the whole night was the Tiger Shiva! I actually cheered when she jumped Roy and 'ate him.

Heard the other day a Stunt man for the show fell and missed his mark. His family removed him from life support and let him go.. so sad to read, he was only 30.

Well...we're baaaack! Finally! Feels like it's been forever since we left our favorite group on the cusp of a major war with Negan and the Saviors.
I thought last night was a kick ass start to Season 8 and a fitting 100th episode. Love that we picked up right where we left off. The flash forwards to old man Rick were a little confusing but I love that they left some room for hope.
Looks like Dwight was legit after all. I was surprised that Daryl actually trusted him as much as he did but at the same time I wasn't really...this is Daryl and that's just the way he is, a decent man at heart, as Carol had said once a long time ago.
Speaking of Carol, it was good to see her fighting alongside the others and it looks like Morgan got over his no killing philosophy in a hurry! Loved the inspirational speeches from everyone, especially King Ezekiel, and absolutely loved the moment when they were facing down Negan and the others and Jesus shouted out "The Hilltop stands with Maggie!" I just wish someone had hauled off and taken out Gregory...he so deserves it!
And just when he finally grew a set poor Fr. Gabriel winds up in the lion's den face to face with Negan. Not a fate I'd wish on anyone.
Again, off to a good start...can't wait to see what comes next!

Loved the episode last night, it just rocked. It was SOOO good to see Rick and the others finally step up and kick some butt. They haven't defeated Negan yet but they have him on the run and worried. I don't want to see what is going to happen to Father Gabriel.. I don't think it's going to end pretty....
