I don't always agree with her, do a lot though and this in no exception. I have a feeling a bunch of you will not like it, seeing as how she is not liberal friendly. So consider yourself warned. It really is worth the watch though because she NAILS it. link

Seems to me all they had to do is get up and walk out if they didn't agree. That's what I would have done. Then just went home.

Exactly, but they chose to set fire to buildings, shoot fireworks and throw rocks at police and shut down the area.. So much for free speech. Again a classic 'Do as I say, not as I do."

BRA-VO! Couldn't agree more. What these supposed "protesters" did is just plain wrong. But apparently tolerance only goes so far.

The people who started the fire were not part of the protesters. They were outsiders according to the university.
Quite frankly, maybe instead of moaning and groaning about the protest pay attention to what they were protesting. You're right, they weren't part of the original protest, but unfortunately their acts serve to overshadow those who were trying to peacefully protest. Folks don't realize that getting angry and trying to bully others does nothing to get your message across, it only serves to anger those you are attacking and prevent them from hearing what might be a relevant argument. As the old saying goes, you can catch more flies with honey...there's something to be said for that.

Get off the self righteousness! Sometimes you have to kill flies with the flyswatter.
Some if us remain blind to the fact that people have grown tired of the republican right wing conservative banned word bullying garbage this country has going on. Some people will be peaceful about it. Others will not. So until the overt bigotry, defense and excuse making for it ends, you might just see some violence.
And thank you for a perfect example of what I was talking about. Instead of simply trying to make a point you had to be insulting first. That's a great way to keep people from reading the rest of what you have to say.

My reply was respectful and genuine...nothing self-righteous about it and I'm tired of you throwing insults up in my face. I actually acknowledged that at least part of what you said was right and made a constructive comment about how these folks could have gone about addressing the subject so their point might actually get heard. Judging by your response, I can only assume I struck a nerve...but that's not on me, that's on you.
