Interesting, looks like a beautiful place. One of my doctors nurses goes there every year to see family. Bet she enjoys the cheaper air fares now.

Iceland is a fascinating place. I was there for a month in 1980, but that wasn't nearly enough. I'd like to go back some day, also to visit my family again. My great uncle started as a travelling shoe salesman and ended up owning Iceland's biggest chain of electronics. Now, it's run by his granddaughter and her husband, whom I've never met.

Tourism is developing into a major way of income worldwide. And with only 323000 Icelanders, it takes 26917 American visitors per month or 855 per day to outnumber them! In other words, five intercontinental flights between an American airport and Keflavik.
