Never know you sure can become attacked those puppies.
One day I was headed outside to do some yard work. Put on my sunglasses and ball cap and started out. Then it dawned on me I didn't get Ricco out of the bedroom cage and move him to the living room cage. So I hurried back and got him up. Got on my hand and we headed to the other cage. Once we got close to cage and brighter lights he got a better lookout me and he hates sunglasses and ball caps. I knew this but I was in a hurry. Well he didn't like what he saw so he went after my fingers. He punctured my thumb nail and cut me in a few other places. I looked at my nail with the hole now in it and noticed he cracked the fingernail from just below the tip all the way down to the quick and on below the skin. On the bottom side it was sliced like being cut with a knife. As soon as it happened I threw him to the floor. I just had socks on and he ran over and bite me on the top of the foot. It was a lot like hitting your thumb with a hammer. Because he put a hole in the fingernail it relieved the pressure. I bandaged myself up and went outside and did the work I had planned. Came in later without the ball cap and sunglasses and she was all kisses and couldn't wait to see me. Took a long time for that thumbnail to grow back out. And after that I steered clear of him wearing my ball cap and sunglasses.
Now here is the odd part. When we took him to Florida a few times he rode on my hand the whole 950 miles and the whole time I wore my ball cap and sunglasses with no problems at all. It's crazy!
I remember when I was around 12 and my neighbour got a big dog sent over from a relative in Canada. They called him Baldor and he was extremely playful. But he also liked to steal things from all over the village, like clothes hanging to dry and whatever food he could sniff out from barns and open cellars. So he eventually became such a nuisance that they had to relocate him to a family member up north somewhere...

At times Emory will hide treats if she isn't ready to eat them. It's funny to watch as she tries to hide it and then tries to push stuff over it with her nose. By the time she is finished she is worn out and eats the treat.

he is a crazy little thing. We bought her a baby bear that squeaks. We did the same for Sammy. Now she had hidden the bear and haven't seen it in a couple months, The gal that cleans for us has looked to and can't find it. One day it may show up.

We use to leave Jorge and Jose go to the top of there cage and sit all the time. Jorge was the only one that caused real problems. There was a real nice mirror standing in there bedroom. And it wasn't cheap. It was really heavy because it was made out of oak. So one day Jorge got off the cage and chewed a huge notch out of the leg. The mirror was fairly knew also. So I loaded it up and took into the place we bought it and asked if it could be fixed. They said sure and soon I had it back and it looked perfect. But I removed the mirror from their room. Sadly I should have taken the vacuum out too because he ate chunks out of the power cord. It was also fixed and removed and they started spending more time inside. I also clipped their flight feathers again. I also clip Ricco's so when I take him outside he can't fly away.

Emory hasn't been here long but she has us wrapped around her little paw, We also a Ricco the Blue fronted Amazon Parrot. Once and a while Ricco will drop food and hits the metal skirt and falls to the floor Sammy was a big Chihuahua so we didn't really mind if she picked up the veggies he dropped. Now Emory wants to do the same but being a lot smaller we worry she might choke on one of the green beans. We have tried several things to keep her out of his area and so far nothing has worked. Now I have a little remote car that stays parked under or near the cage. I let Emory see it in action and she has stayed clear or the cage for now. It won't last but I think it will help. If not I will use it to chase chipmunks out of the back yard. But either way I'm having fun with it.

Emory started liking the car a little to much. At first I just had to make it move a little and she would leave Ricco's cage area. Now I have to chase her about 10 feet and then drive the car back to where it sits.
A dog I remember from my childhood used to chase cars on the country road; real fast while barking loudly. She could follow them for several hundred meters before she gave up! smiley-sleep011

Oh thanks geriatrix, that reminds me of a dog that use too chase me on the way home from work. It was a German Shepard with just three legs. One front leg was missing but it didn't slow it down at all. I named him Tripod. Never saw who owned him but when I turned at the next intersection it would stop and go back.
Here close to home it's the wild turkeys that will chase cars at times. Not sure if they chase the people walking or not. I posted a picture of a turkey chasing a young deer out of the yard so I would think they would chase people too.

Talira Greycrest: I can see why some people put off going to the dentist, it's very expensive. I had to go today, and it cost me over $300 just for a checkup, a clean and some x-rays.

Talira Greycrest: Went swimming this afternoon. The pool was closed for half the day thanks to a possum causing a power cut.
