Thanks, when we started out there was ice everywhere. She fell and all four legs just splayed out. She couldn't get up and I couldn't stop laughing long enough to take a picture.  |

I think they are beautiful but I can't imagine the work. It's a shame you don't live close as they would enjoy a run with you geriatrix, Emory doesn't need that much exercise which works for us. One walk around the hood (1/2 mile) and she sleeps for several hours. Millie and Archie need a lot of exercise and they are with the right people to give it to them. |

The Dog Whisperer has good tips to keep them exercised. Back packs and on warm days they could carry there water and a bowl who they can get a drink 1/2 way threw the walk on those hot days. We even have portable water dishes for Emory. They fold up and open up to a round bowl. I don't use them normally on walks around the neighborhood but when we get back the first thing she does is get a drink.

At times I'm surprised how much Little Emory drinks. At times I think I should just get her a straw...lol. Here she is helping me type. Usually she lays next to me but at times needs to be on me.  |
