Glad you are both into walking because Archie will need the exercise. The Dog Whisperer has great ideas on thing you can do to give him more exercise.

Archie loves walks and chasing Nick. He's learning to play Frisbee too only so far he hasn't figured out he is supposed to catch it in the air.  |

Archie had fluid on his 'ankle'. The vet said he probably banged it so he drained the fluid. He was also running a fever so they put him on meds for 5 days. He seems fine today, still a little swollen but doesn't seem to bother him. Thanks for asking  |

Our last dog Sammy would have loved Archie. She might have been small but she liked all dogs big or small. Emory is still just a little shy with bigger dogs yet.

Ok I said ankle and it's really his elbow. The vet we went to was not our regular vet. The swelling came back and we went to our regular vet. Found out it is a Hygroma which is swelling caused by banging his elbows on the hard floor. He hasn't grow up yet and his muscles are still developing. We bought him a harness that has padded elbows which he will wear for at least a month. He doesn't seem to mind it at all. Here's my handsome boy on his walk today.  |

The main thing is that his injury heals well and that he doesn't develop a permanent disability.

Just keep an eye on it and take Archie back if needed.Might need a booster shot of some meds. But he's a puppy and that works in his favor.
