We don't know where the weirdos live and where they have targeted their sick actions, so in theory, it may happen everywhere, although most of them want to inflict a maximum of damage, so they aim for airports, train stations, stadiums, concerts and the likes.
Luckily, the police in most countries have become better at sniffing out potential terror before it happens; e.g. the UK, France, Belgium and now Canada.

geriatrix, but Strathroy is literally a whistle stop. For those who don't know what that means, the train goes thru without stopping unless someone is standing on the platform. The airport is outside town and it's only in the past few years that they have a bus station, so small would be my guess. They might catch 20 people max?

geriatrix his beliefs sure would make him stand out. lol. I was there 1-2 x and their idea of an eve entertainment is a karaoke bar with pop and country hits for the yokels  Imagine a church-centered town of Christians hearing about radical Islam? I'm surprised he wasn't ridden out of town at the business end of a horse whip

geriatrix, lol I doubt that very much! Small towns around here would drive most people to alt religions! I grew up in one remember? I had an uncle who preached very close to Strathroy when I was a kid. He's still pretty convinced I'm evil And I'm not into radical factions! lol

Odd that it happened in a small town but where was he headed when he got in the cab? Sadly there are a lot of them out there. Even some of the High Schools here had police stationed in or near them.

but where was he headed when he got in the cab I have no clue, but there are big cities near Strathroy. The capital of Ontario is an expensive cab ride away, but only 1-2 hrs by car. Last I heard we do have safety drills in schools here, but nope we don't need cop cars out front yet Thank God! |

Some schools have police come just before classes are released for the day. But it's mostly because when the kids leave they walk in the street blocking traffic. That is just at that school because there have been complaints. Not sure where the kids decided they had the right to block traffic but they do. We also have a couple stores with police stationed at them. One is the local Walmart. I hope they are paying the city to have them there but in that area there are a lot of other businesses. So they might be there for them too.
I can't imagine they are thinking of terrorist but they have been there since the store opened years ago. But I guess terrorist can be anywhere, even small towns.

we have crossing guards at the schools. Esp if they are busy streets or if there are a lot of complaints about traffic speed. But the cops here are supposed to have more important things to do. The guards are trained by the police though . But I guess terrorist can be anywhere, even small towns. sad but true  |
