Pro: Convenience. More payment for employees that want to work on Sundays. Flexible shopping hours during the week. Eliminates the need to live your life according to "a church calendar".
Con: Makes Sunday seem less special. Employers must pay more salaries and earn less profit. Employees can be forced to work Sundays on shifts against their will and miss attractive events. Christian employees could miss Sunday morning service. Emplyees with a family will have less quality time at home.

It's silly to force a store to close on Sundays. There are always employees willing to work.

Here, the problem is the opposite. Only stores for construction materials and plants can generally have open on Sundays, apart from others with less than 100 square meters shopping area. That means 90% of supermarkets have to close on Sundays. The exception is the last three Sundays before Christmas. Also, the sale of alcohol outside the places where it must be consumed is prohibited on Sundays.
