Here is the founding of a great event, Ladies and Gentlemen. Many of you will have heard of this legendary game, normally played verbally, but here it is online in the heart of the Heretix Forum!
The rules are:
The participants will post 5 different claims about themselves. 4 of these will be true, but 1 is false. It is then everybody's turn to guess the incorrect statement. Express which number it is, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. You have at least 24 hours to post and after that, it will be resolved. The fastest person to answer the question correctly will create the next riddle; if no one is correct, then the riddle setter may postpone the decision or post a new set of options.
I'll start off with
1 - I was present at the Long Beach (California) Grand Prix Formula 1 Race in 1982 (Nicky Lauda's great comeback victory).
2 - I have worked in 13 countries.
3 - I was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
4 - I was named after a friend of my parents.
5 - My favourite character in The Lord of the Rings is Gandalf.

1) I was born near Chicago, Illinois.
2) My husband & I eloped when we were both 18 years old.
3) The only foreign countries I've been to are Canada & Mexico.
4) We lived/traveled in a camper for eight years after my husband retired.
5) We have eight grandchildren, all under 5 years old.

Psychic, no; pure luck, yes. I had actually no idea. Number 2 and number 4 sounded a little suspicious, too, so I had to make a guess. My turn again: 1 - In 1994, I shook hands with Kofi Annan, who later became the UN secretary general. 2 - In the early 1980s, I steered a 44000 ton ship down the Columbia River twice. 3 - The first American state I visited was Alaska. 4 - I have 8 parachute jumps. 5 - I celebrated New Year's Eve 1981 in Japan, 1985 in New York, 1993 in Somalia; and both 1994 and 1996 in Italy. |

1) I've lived in many US states, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota & Florida.
2) When I was a child I water-skiied. (skied?)
3) I read about 100+ books a year.
4) My grandfather was killed in WWI.
5) My father was overseas in WWII for 3 1/2 years.
