It finally seems as if our favourite handyman Angus McGyver will be visiting us in future episodes of the popular TV show, but without Richard Dean Anderson, who is now 66 years old. Instead, a younger actor, who is not yet chosen, will play the 20-something MacGyver as he joins the secret agency and uses his unique abilities to create extraordinary situations only equipped with household items. It's always a little strange at first when a new actor takes over a popular role, but I guess we'll get used to it, particularly since the new concept is set in an earlier timeline than the old and starts afresh in a way. I agree, Justbec, it will be fun to see whether the creators have managed to capture "the MacGyver spirit". |
