It's just another tragic incident where the American police seems to be triggerhappy enough to shoot first and ask questions later. Even if people are suspected of minor or major crimes, they deserve a trial, not being shot down like sick dogs. In this case, also an innocent life was lost in the process.
Better education at the Police Academy?
More thourough selection before graduation as a police officer?
Harder punishment for police officers that abuse their authority?

There was a similar case in Sweden not long ago. Police shot and killed a mentally challendged boy on his way to a carnival dressed like a cowboy with a tou gun, who didn't stop when they told him to, so they shot him.
Better education to distinguish real threats from innocent actions?
