2nd part to this: yes or no response
Do you think tax systems should be more reflective of those who do not adhere to good practice paying for their "sins"? Rather than simply a dollar being taxed system such as we have now?

Yes, as long as a fair system can be implemented in practice.
Here, I have been surprised for many years over why the most healthy food is also the most expensive. If the authorities had really wanted us to improve our eating habits, they would have regulated the taxes on various groups of foodstuff accordingly.

I agree with the yes, but that's also due to lobbying by special interest groups, as well as the govt actually manipulating pricing and testing. Business is only part of the unholy forces at work. It's also politics.

If you want a really good example of that, the marijuana issue that Justin Trudeau had as part of his platform is an awesome example. That little leafy plant crosses several of the ministries of the govt, pharmacy and medicine are also effected since it could potentially replace pain meds that have too many side effects and it is anti-nausea for cancer patients. Policing will radically change in the drug war and prisons will empty out, or at least be there for real crimes.
