@progeny How do I find a "search" function in Opera? There is no pull-down menu or other clickable button that opens into a window where I can search for words or phrases in websites that I open. If I don't find a solution to this problem, I will have to keep looking for another browser.  |

IDK but what I DO know is Opera has a users' forum and you can ask better informed/ higher tech skilled people than me. (If you can't reach orkie that is)

Thanks!  I'll go for a dual solution for now then. Opera for forums, newspapers and online bank services + Microsoft Edge for ancestry research and details for my book where I need to search the text. BTW, do you have the link to Opera's users' forum? Nothing comes up here, it's like a navigation bar is missing or hasn't been installed along with the basic functions. |

LOL I think I've got a clue now. But you don't strike me as the type that marries a dashboard!  Lys finds it very easy to just click on images to enter her favourite sites, much the same way that I have set up the clickable topic images here on our main page. But of course, they don't have the folder function to further subdivide pages into groups. It works for me until I miss something else that I can't seem to think of right now. |

I have a few folders for sites I go to maybe 1-2 x a week? Vs ones I go to several times a day. Those I keep as solo windows. I'm with Lys, the clickable windows are way easier. My folders are in subjects/areas too. Though I haven't named them, I know them and am the only one looking at my laptop, so... Pinterest has a window and a folder for sites I use to make pins and collect them |

I have created about 15 single images for easy access. The rest of my favourites come up as soon as I start to write a couple of letters in the window, so I'm quite happy with it. |

There's another advantage... Having the windows on your dashboard bypasses the search bar and I haven't noticed that google is able to track my likes as much. MORE PRIVACY!! j/s
