With so much terror and threats going on everywhere, Afghanistan is forgotten between each time something terrible happens there. Most of us have a short memory for such things. The Russians have been very anonymous in Afghanistan lately, but active in Syria, backing the dictator and his terrible actions in an attempt to promote their own interests in the Middle East. Eventually, they will be forced to bite the sour grape and admit that they have been betting on the wrong horse.

Not very surprising really and one of the reasons the FBI were looking into the trump people talking to Russia. Russia is not our best friend. I don't trust any of them.

This may sound insensitive but unfortunately the reality is that these days the entire Middle East region has basically turned into one giant game of "Whack-a-mole"...as soon as you focus on one problem area, another rears its ugly head, which makes it difficult to focus your entire attention on any one country.

it difficult to focus your entire attention on any one country. Yes, very true. Terrorism knows no borders and pops up in new places all the time, both in the Middle East and elsewhere, most recently in London and Stockholm. |
