Terrible scenes from the Middle East, with 1500 dead, 4500 wounded and 125 kidnapped in the four days since the war started. And the worst is probably yet to come. In the wake of this tragedy, it seems as if Ukraine has become yesterday's news... Here is Hamas' communication centre being attacked on Monday.  |

I have some friends with plans to go to Israeli in about a week and a half. I don't think they are going to make it there. I believe about all flights have been cancelled. But who would want to be there now?

Three generations of hate is difficult to curb.
An independent assessment concluded that it was a Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket that misfired and hit al-Ahli Hospital, according to two senior U.S. officials. (Palestinian Islamic Jihad is a militant group in Gaza).

Why are they protesting here? Seems they left there own area to be here.
Are we not doing enough?
Should they be there fighting their own war?
Should USA soldiers loose their life for the protesters here that aren't serving their own country?

The motive for the Hamas attack has been revealed:
Israel retaliates, then the Muslim neighbors attack Israel and destroys it.
I guess that two elements went sideways here:
1. Israel didn't lose their head, but thought before acting.
2 . The Pan-Arabic support has been lukewarm, to say the least. Other countries are business partners with Israel now and won't take the Palestinians' fight for them.
With disastrous consequences no matter what...

Religious extremists are unpredictable no mattter what. Iran is funding several of the militant Islamist groups in the Middle East and thereby adding fuel to the fire.

This happened in Palestine yesterday (source: Al Jazeera).
Dozens killed and many wounded in Israeli air strikes on a UN-run school sheltering thousands of displaced people in central Gaza. The Israeli military confirmed its fighter jets hit the UNRWA school at the Nuseirat camp saying it targeted and killed Hamas fighters.
The US and 16 allied countries say they fully support the ceasefire and captives release deal outlined by US President Biden. Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri says while the group appreciates 'Biden's ideas', the current ceasefire proposal does not provide a firm enough commitment that the war will end permanently.
Israeli forces killed several Palestinians in the occupied West Bank's Jenin refugee camp in their latest bloody incursion.
