For a long time, no-one knew how dinosaurs reproduced. Did they lay eggs like birds and most modern reptiles or did they have live birth like mammals? The answer was finally discovered when, in 1923, an expedition to Mongolia's Gobi Desert uncovered fossilized nests filled with dozens of eggs. It was originally thought the eggs belonged to Protoceratops, however, we now know they most likely belonged to Oviraptor.
