I have this to say today: "Yes, the truth is definitely stranger than fiction!" So many strange forms and shapes that human fantasy would be unable to create, even if we stretched it far!

Time to reveal the answer to this week's quiz question. You were asked: Palaeontologists currently recognize how many species of Brachiosaurus? One, two, three or four?
Answer: One. An icon of the Late Jurassic, Brachiosaurus was a massive animal, measuring around 22 metres long, between 9 and 13 metres tall and weighing between 40 and 60 metric tonnes. It lived in what is now the western United States between 154 and 150 million years ago. Its name, which means "Arm lizard", is a reference to its long front legs which provided support for its huge neck. Currently, only one species, B. altithorax, is recognized.
