Joey , well done for correctly guessing the answer to this week's quiz question. You were asked: Eggs or live birth? How did marine reptiles such as Ichthyosaurs, Mosasaurs and Plesiosaurs reproduce?Answer: Live birth. Ichthyosaurs, Mosasaurs and Plesiosaurs were so well adapted to an aquatic lifestyle that many species, if not all of them, were physically incapable of leaving the water. Instead, they evolved the ability to give birth to their young alive at sea, like modern whales and dolphins, rather than clambering onto the beaches to lay eggs. During the 1880s, some remarkable fossils were discovered in Germany showing female Ichthyosaurs in the act of giving birth.

Got this cute baby Parasaurolophus from the Big W Toy Sale, her name is Paris. Regular retail price was $40, but was reduced to $29 and, with all my work discounts, got the price down to $16. Press a hand and she lights up bright pink.
