This seems to be aimed at children. Cynical, if you ask me.

Good grief...and I thought putting out Valentine's Day candy at this time was bad!

Just a few years ago I bought some Peeps. They had thousands of them at the store in different colors. So since the last time I had one was when I was a little kid I thought I would try some. How do people eat those vile things? I took one bite, spit it out and through the rest out. Then I rinsed my mouth out several times and brushed my teeth again.

I guess it takes a while to get used to the taste. Maybe it's a fashion fad that people eat regardless of whether they like it or not?

I think it must be all sugar targeting little kids. Thinking back I can never remember seeing a adult eating one. It's sort of a marshmallow cover with sugar. I still shake my head when I see them in stores and think YUCK!!!
I like marshmallows and I put sugar in my coffee but sugar on a marshmallow is vile.

In Norway, there is a saying about not butter your bacon, meaning don't use unnecessary means for a thing that functions perfectly well without it (not just about food).

There is more candy out on the shelves now than there was at Halloween and Christmas. Seems a little odd.

I think the chains are trying to squeeze the last cent out of every season, regardless of wheter the individual shop owners agree, so they become pawns in a cynical game.

I think some is a hold over from Christmas, the the new Valentines day Candy followed by the everyday candy that's always there. Anyone here have a sweet tooth.

Apart from the eggs, maybe they just produce the same candy and ship it in new boxes?

Re early Easter candies: This is probably off topic and unrelated to the OP, but I include it nonetheless. There is actually a producer of Easter candy called Josh Early! www.joshearlycandies.com/products/?m=153&p=allRemember to buy your sweets EARLY!

I have enough sweets on the coffee table to last me awhile. I even have backups in the kitchen.
