I have to laugh.. 45 Republicans voted NOT to shut down the Government. 45 Democrats voted TO shutdown the Government but it is the Republican's and Trumps fault...

www.nytimes.com/2018/01/22/us/politics/government-shutdown.htmlStopgap Bill to End Government Shutdown Passes Congress • The House passed a short-term spending bill to reopen the government. Next, President Trump must sign it to end the shutdown. • Earlier in the afternoon, the Senate also voted to reopen the government after 81 senators broke the filibuster that shut it down. • Here is the bipartisan group that reached the deal. • Democrats had debated whether to trust Senator Mitch McConnell’s word.

Had to love Schumer trying to take credit for creating the bill that was signed. Only to be shot down by Sarah Sanders who pointed out it was the exact bill that Schumer walked out on a week earlier when he met with the President.

This bill has funding for CHIPS for he next 6 years. The bill a week ago did not. Also, let us not forget this was the FIRST govt shutdown ever with the same party controlling the WH, the Senate and the House. Also but for McConnell on Friday there would have been no shutdown. After the vote, Sen Clair McCaskill rose and asked for a up and down vote to protect military spending. McConnell said I object. Then a 2nd Dem Senator asked for a 1 day delay in a shutdown. McConnell rose again and said I object. Finally a 3rd Dem Senator rose and asked for a 3 day delay in a shutdown. And yes....McConnell objected.

Let us not forget 45 Democrats shut the government down. AND now Mr. Perfect Senator Schumer is backing out of the agreement he made and saying he wants a new deal before the next vote. He and Pelosi should walk off a cliff somewhere.

He and Pelosi should walk off a cliff somewhere. In the end, as I pointed out, McConnell shut the govt down. Twice. He would not even let the Senate take a vote on keeping the military running undisturbed. And what would you say if I posted Trump should walk off a cliff?

I have never ever posted anything so horrible about him, and the emoticon does not deflect your words nor the truth of what I posted about McConnell.

No he did not shut the government down. A delay on the vote would have done nothing and it's not like they didn't have months to get something done. Schumer and his cronies shut the government down. He is an embarrassment which is probably why NY elected him.

trump couldn’t get a 50% vote. 2 1/2 weeks and down the government goes again.
trump said before he was president it’sthe presidents fault when the government shuts down. I see he has changed his mind now that he is president.
And still all the name calling. Will he ever grow up? I have my doubts.

What party runs the Oval office? What party runs the House of Representatives? What party runs the Senate? And yet everything is the democrats fault. Truly unbelievable.
Looks to me like McConnell and his cronies can't get the job done.
Mr. Perfect Senator Schumer...yep call them names. Just like our idiot president.

I know it takes 60 votes and I said trump couldn't even get 50 on the first vote. Easy to understand from here.
