www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/12/jared-kushners-business-empire-is-a-house-of-cards"When Jared Kushner assumed the role of First Son-in-Law, he did so with a massive family debt hanging over his head: 666 Fifth Avenue, the little-loved, 41-story office tower that Kushner Cos. bought on the eve of the financial crisis for a then-unprecedented $1.8 billion. The deal, unsurprisingly, has been something of a disaster. The Kushners, who put up $50 million and borrowed the rest, now own around half the place with their partner, Vornado, along with a crushing $1.2 billion mortgage that comes due in February 2019. The Kushners approached the problem with Trumpian flair, floating an ambitious, now defunct plan to secure $7.5 billion in a Zaha Hadid-led redesign. (Hadid, like the investment’s prospects, has since died.) But while the family has suggested that 666 is but a tiny piece of a huge portfolio that can sustain any kind of setback, it turns out that said portfolio is much smaller than Jared & Co. would have the public believe.". Last year the Trump Organization reported nearly $9.5 billion in revenues, but public filings by President Donald Trump suggest that the company actually earned between $600 and $700 million in 2016. Crain's, a leading New York business publication, claimed that the Trump foundation had been reporting an inflated revenue since at least 2010. The publication moved the company from the number 3 spot on the list to number 40.". Read whole story at link.

What a laugh.

I do not think people read enough, watch enough real news plus there is a hardcore base that stays with Trump against their better interests...the tax plan just demonstrated that yet again.
Retirees for example who are going to be financially hurt by this plan.
Still so stubborn because they supported Trump they support a plan they do not even know the details of just because Trump supports it.
And the few who do know some details would rather lose money then admit they are wrong.

3 more years and we will see. Low approval ratings and some of that comes from his supporters. There really isn't anything we can do about it but vote out the people you want out and put in the people you do want. Send emails to your senators and tell them you aren't happy do the same to your local representative. I know in my case I couldn't wait to vote ours in. His had was an excellent representative and I was all for him. Found out he isn't just like his dad and can't wait to try to vote him out. But it wont be easy because his dad had a large following and if you don't pay attention to how they vote you would think he was like his dad. I pay attention. But the problem is you can only vote for the people in your own state which makes sense but I sure would like to vote in at least one other state because he's one of ones that wants to cut the elderly's care.
Expect the worst and hope for the best.

Speaking at the White House just before the House prepared to sign off on the tax-cuts bill one last time, Trump reveled extensively in his win before turning things over to Vice President Pence to heap praise upon him continuously for a few minutes. It was a thoroughly unique spectacle, even as victory dances and Trump Cabinet meetings go. But along the way, Trump basically admitted that the GOP's talking points on the bill weren't exactly honest in two major ways. While talking about the corporate tax rate being cut from 35 percent to 21 percent, Trump said, “That's probably the biggest factor in our plan.”. Read rest at link.
