One more reason not to like Hollywood Dramatic license occurs not just in Hollywood. It is in plays as well as in novels. You make not Hollywood, but dramatic license goes back forever...way before Hollywood existed.

Thank you I understand that. I'll leave this now since I don't see the point of continuing to beat a dead horse for the sake of posting.

I think Heretix should make us all reservations there! If I were rich, I would have invited you all over for a grand tour of Norway.

If I were rich, I would have invited you all over for a grand tour of Norway. But if you pay your own fare, I will provide good advice and tips, even guide you around Oslo for a day for free. Be prepared to become very tired! Sidestep: My offer is absolutely serious, though. A Dutch guy that I met on another forum had booked himself and his wife for a day of sightseeing in Oslo with me. They were scheduled to arrive by boat from Rotterdam, but two days before departure, the mrs became ill and they cancelled the entire trip. Unfortunately, I lost contact with them after that and when I invited him to join this forum, he never responded. A great guy, though; I had quite a few phone calls with him for some years...

That is a very gracious offer. I read a wonderful write up of this restaurant in TIME mag. this week.

If I didn't have so many animals I would take you up on that offer in a flash. But I think for the most part my traveling days are over.

For me, it is a matter of stringing enough vacation time together for my husband.

Obviously...the distance (and time) would vary for all of us.
And of course some of us live closer to major international airports than others.
The point is it is a very gracious offer none of us should lose sight of.
I have also found that international travel really opened me up as a person as did attending a college that had loads of international students.
I love returning to Cambridge, MA because it is a city full of people from all over the world.

Tip: Norwegian Air Shuttle is opening up more routes to American airports at a considerably lower cost than Delta, American and United. www.norwegian.com/us/

If I win big time in the lottery, I will invite all active forum members to a party on a real-life version of Paradise Cay, but until then, all we can do is keep toying with that utopian idea...
