FYI: Lys is my wife and she is rarely on the forum. She is more of a Facebook person, but sometimes posts Spiritism related stuff here. She saw Wilfred and Shorty; and wanted a virtual pet, too, so I gave her Gostoso, which means "delicious" or "tasteful" in Portuguese. On her behalf, I thank you for the warm welcome. She will most likely not participate much in the group, but promised to play with her pet via her cell phone from time to time.  I also convinced Kroken to join the group.  |

On one of the last hot hot days of this summer, my poor pudgy tabby cat (girl) is trying to find cool spots in the apt to wait out the heat and crying at me when I get up. So how can I help? Well there is a hallway that I keep the light out in, the floor is tile, or she can go in the bathroom and lay against the tub or toilet, and I empty and put cold water in her bowl twice a day. She also gets fed small portions thru the day, cuzz I know I wouldn't want to eat a big meal when I feel hot and cranky, would you? I also don't leave her alone during the hottest part of the day. Oddly, she never lays in front of my fans.
Does anyone have more suggestions? No I can't afford AC.

I would saw that's doing pretty good. Might try putting ice in the water and it would be even cooler. We use to put ice in our last dogs water. Now we have a dog that likes to stand in the sun. Good idea for everyone to eat small amounts during the day.

Welcome mamafrankie for joining Pet Owners. Always great to have a new member. You can post pictures of your pets in a new thread or post them in Pictures of your pets. I think pets are like grand kids and everyone wants to show there picture or video. I know as a pet owner we would love to see them. So  |

I'll get one up soon of Angel-Love @justbec & geriatrix. But now as I've said in the past, my printer scanner is broke and I have no camera at moment anyway...and no, my phone is just the bare essential, no cam! The only ones I have are what I took before everything decided to go bad! |

Here's my precious little Angel-Love. She is waiting on my bed for me to come in from the bathroom to go to bed! lol
Here's one of me and Angel with her Santa outfit on this past Christmas. You really can't see it all that well, but it was so adorable! She would not wear her Santa hat though...
