I wouldn't buy travels from unauthorised sites. I've heard about people arriving at unfinished hotels or accommodations full of cockroaches. I have sometimes used Trivago and Travelocity, both for flights, hotels and car rentals. Normally, the service there is cheap and satisfactory.

Best thing to do is just call the hotel and make reservations unless you have a site you trust with possible discounts. My wife makes those arrangements. Once we flew to Hawaii 1st class on United out of Chicago. It cost $1200 for one ticket and we had a $100 companion ticket so we flew to Hawaii and back for $1300. That was about $400 than if we flew coach. We had used this company for several years. Best flight we ever had.

I have gmail and when I get spam mail I send it to my spam folder. Then my spam folder receives the rest of them and I never see them in my main mail.
