the government forced the academy to provide a prayer room for the Muslim students. That's just wrong. Very much so!

Back on track update: Politician Per Sandberg from the Progressive Party was just interviewed in the NRK Radio News. He predicts that the increased influx of migrants will cause clogged hospitals (both somatic and mental), with the consequence that the already weakest individuals in our society will have to compete with all the newcomers about basic services. And to pay for it all, we either have to cut other welfare benefits or raise taxes, Sandberg said.

They'll never raise taxes unless they can limit the increased taxes to the middle class and poor classes only. JMHO
My grandmother used to talk about the time when Franklin Roosevelt was president of the US. She said they had a program called the WPA that basically was the government hiring people to do infrastructure work. It got people back to work, things got fixed, and though the wages were paid by the government, it was better than a "welfare" handout without any benefits back to the government. Maybe something like that could be put in motion to help put all the refugees, undocumented border jumpers, and able-bodied men on welfare into the work force. JMHO

Maybe something like that could be put in motion to help put all the refugees, undocumented border jumpers, and able-bodied men on welfare into the work force. Are you psychic, by any chance? LOL This is exactly what some of our politicians suggested only a few days ago. They want "an assembly line" of sorts to get people quickly cleared through the papermill, moved to their new home in a determined region and integrated as quickly as possible with jobs, school and language courses. Until now, most of them have spent many years in former military camps and abandoned hotels, where their cases have been going through countless rounds of appeal until a few chosen one have been granted asylum, while the rest are deported, regardless of wheteher their children don't know any other society then the Norwegian. Now, all that would have to change, since there quite simply are too many of them and tents are no solution now when the winter cold is setting in. And that's not even near the end of it, since we know what happens whenever a person has been granted asylum: Ten more people can be affected by international agreements on family reunion, so this will pose a strain on most civilised countries' economy for many years to come.
