I feel the key to a successful relationship is trust & open communication. One must trust before they feel free to talk, so if the communication lines are always open, then there will be trust between the couple.

I've been married for 32 years.. trust is a given in our relationship as is love. But the key for our success I think is that we are best friends too. We spend 95% of our time together with no desire to be around anyone else.

After 47 years I've learned to shut up until asked to speak and change the lightbulbs when they burn out. Oh and heaven forbid if a bug gets into the house I better kill it fast and have an explanation as to how it got in. That's when I get to talk and say I don't know. Well it works here.  |
