When I lived in Italy, a friend tried to hook me up with a girl, but we didn't connect that well. It could have something to do with the language barrier, though. Her English was limited and so was my Italian at the time...

The only time we got multiple quotes was when we had to get a new roof put on. Otherwise, we generally know who we want to go with so it's not necessary.
