Signal read ribbons on the handles, white crosses on the sides plus tags with the address to our insurance company and a coded ID number.

What do you do to identify your luggage when travelling?
Bright coloured ribbon on the handle.

I know my luggage but have used a ribbon on the handle also. It does make it quicker to spot.

Question of the Day
Do you take a lot of local cash when travelling?
Not sure if you would call it a lot but take our money from Australia what we think we will need.

I normally travel to Euro countries and buy some bills in advance. If that is not enough, I extract more cash from an ATM.

It was 3 September 1980. I was traveling around Iceland with a friend from high school. While in Reykjavik, we heard that the national soccer team should play a World Cup qualification match against the Soviet Union at Laugardalsvöllur Stadium and we decided to watch it. According to Norwegian standards, the arena was rather small to host and international match, but around 3000 spectators had managed to squeeze through the gates and the Icelanders knew how to cheer their team. I have never heard a crowd make more noise. The Soviets won 2-1, but that was beside the point. According to the audience, their boys were local gods that almost played equally well with one of the best teams in the world. There were no traditional female cheerleaders present as far as I can remember, but it's impossible to forget a guy with a tooth brush larger than himself, which he used to urge his like minded to shout and beat the backs of the seats in front of them with whatever object they had available! Laugardalsvöllur Stadium today, 36 years later, much improved and expanded.

No air conditioning, but I sometimes use two fans - one in the window and one directed at me.
