These days I prefer shorter vacations...less hassle, less planning, just easier all around.

When I worked, Hubby and I loved to take Fridays off and make long weekends.

Letting them think that they can never fail or be disappointed.

Lack of discipline, talking with respect, and self-motivation. My sister and I were raised very differently from our American friends.

What is the biggest mistake you see in parenting these days? Having children. Couldn't agree more kronks, the world would be a better place if a lot of people thought that way

Not having kids I notice when the parents let the kids run wild in stores or restaurants. That would never have happened with my sister and I. They show no respect to others and not even their parents. But there are some that do. We went out to eat before our long day and I opened the door for a group and walked out. Their little girl was holding the door for me, what a little sweetie. She was raised right.

Lack of discipline, letting kids think failing is okay, giving trophies to everybody, not teaching them to have respect for themselves as well a for others, not teaching them to set goals.
