Labor Day, Easter, Friday the 13th, Halloween, April Fool's Day, National Smile Day, you name I'll celebrate.

There is no tradition for exclusively Catholic holidays in Norway. They number about 150000; and nearly half are migrant workers from Poland and other Eastern European countries with no roots here. My first encounter with St Patrick's Day was when I worked alongside some Irishmen in Somalia.
I normally don't observe religious holidays, but Christmas and Easter are so integrated into society here that we are all affected, no matter our origins and beliefs. But St Patrick's Day is passing unnoticed to most Norwegians.
