That is always a possibility, Gibby, but let's hope that it won't happen. If he wins through a democratic process, then his people deserve him, no matter if they will probably regret their choice when they see the consequences of his politics in practice.
But his extremism may very well provoke a trigger-happy madman. Since it happened to Reagan, it is a possibility that we shouldn't completely disregard. Unfortunately.

Just a few thoughts on this. The Democrats have held the White House for two terms, eight years, and it is a bit unlikely they will win the next four as well. So that leaves us with a good chance a Republican will win the office. Trump seems to be the more liberal of the Republican candidates. That might get him some of the Democrat votes if he is nominated by the Republican Party. The Republicans really want to win the election in November, and he could be their best bet to do it. Like I said, just my thoughts.

That might get him some of the Democrat votes I've read comments from political experts that the same could be the case the other way around. If Trump should be nominated, some Republicans would find him so unattractive that they will vote for the Democrat candidate. Well, at least no one can accuse the election of being boring this time.
