Is it wearing a Halloween mask? Herrerasaurus was one of the first true dinosaurs to evolve. The largest-known skull measures around 56cm long which suggests the largest-known individuals reached lengths of between five and six metres (quite big for a primitive Theropod).

This one is dressed for a party or carnival. With the majority of dinosaurs, we've got very little fossil evidence regarding their colouring, so all we can do is guess. However, pigments discovered inside the fossilized feathers of Microraptor and Sinosauropteryx (two small Theropods from China) have revealed that Microraptor was primarily black whilst Sinosauropteryx was a golden orange/brown with alternating light and dark bands on its tail.

Can they get DNA from any of these? Not sure, but I would say no. The oldest DNA we've got is around 1.2 million years old found in the teeth of mammoths that lived in northeastern Siberia.
