New quiz question: True or False? Palaeontologists currently recognize over 150 different pterosaur species. I know that some types of dino had hundreds of species, but never heard that about the flying kind before. However, I wouldn't be surpsised, so I, too, say yes.

Just heard a new species of Ichthyosaur has been discovered in England. It's been named Ichthyotitan and is estimated to have measured a whopping 25 metres long. Currently, Shastasaurus, at an estimated length of 21 metres, is the largest known Ichthyosaur, but it seems Ichthyotitan may have been a good three to four metres longer.

Just heard a new species of Ichthyosaur has been discovered in England. It's been named Ichthyotitan and is estimated to have measured a whopping 25 metres long. Currently, Shastasaurus, at an estimated length of 21 metres, is the largest known Ichthyosaur, but it seems Ichthyotitan may have been a good three to four metres longer. I'm surprised that new species keep popping up around the world all the time. By now, one should have thought that everything had been discovered.
