Answer: Chile. Known from a single, mostly complete skeleton discovered in southern Chile in 2018, Stegouros was a very small Ankylosaur, barely measuring more than two metres long. It lived during the Campanian and Maastrichtian stages of the Late Cretaceous between 74.9 and 71.7 million years ago. Its name, which means "Roofed tail", comes from the roof-like covering on the end of the tail.Here's today's dino. Getting one of these for my birthday next year: Name: HesperosaurusPronunciation: Hes-per-o-sore-usMeaning of name: "Western lizard", in reference to its location in the western United States.Species: H. mjosiSize: Estimated to have measured between 6 and 7 metres long and weighing between 3 and 5 metric tonnes.Family: StegosauridaeDiet: HerbivoreFirst fossils found: Known only from a single, almost complete skeleton (missing the limbs) discovered in the Morrison Formation of Wyoming. Named by palaeontologists, K. Carpenter, C. A. Miles and K. Cloward in 2001. Like its relatives, Hesperosaurus had a double row of plates along its back and spikes on the end of its tail. A 2015 study suggests the shape of the plates may be a sign of sexual dimorphism, with females having taller plates than males.Lived: 156 million years ago during the Oxfordian stage of the Late Jurassic in what is now the western United States. Variraptor, Acheroraptor, Pamparaptor, Luanchuanraptor, Tianyuraptor, Halszkaraptor, Pyroraptor or Linheraptor? Another educated guess - all I know is that 'pyro' means 'fire', so I go with pyroraptor. Oh anotheer big guy but this one has a nore reasonable size neck that fits the body.
